Sample numbers or unfamiliar customers appear

The demo company uses a separate database with fictional examples.

Steps

  1. To try sample records, open Getting started → Open sample company. Demo access is not on Overview or in Company & settings.
  2. Look for the DEMO DATA banner above the page.
  3. Choose Exit demo to leave the demo. Your own workspace is kept separate.
  4. The real workspace starts empty. Adding or changing demo records does not change your real company.
  5. Backups made while in the demo contain demo data. Check which workspace is open before you restore or export a backup.
  6. The next full app launch opens your real company. Closing just the window of a background office host does not restart the app; choose Exit demo to return immediately.

Check that it worked

The demo banner disappears and your own company name is shown in Company & settings.

Still stuck?

If sample records appear without the demo banner, check whether a demo backup was previously restored into the real workspace.
