Find the automatic recovery copies

The program keeps up to 30 snapshots of the workspace from before saved changes.

Steps

  1. In Company & settings choose Open data folder.
  2. Open backups, then company for your real records or demo for the fictional workspace.
  3. Each auto-...json snapshot contains the state before a saved change. Its date/time and revision help identify the right point.
  4. Copy a candidate file somewhere safe before restoring it through Reports & exports. Preserve a backup of the current workspace as well.
  5. The latest 30 copies rotate as you work. They contain records only, not photos or receipts. They are not a permanent archive and are not a replacement for a complete backup saved outside the computer.

Check that it worked

The selected snapshot has the expected company and record counts at restore confirmation.

Still stuck?

If there are no recovery copies after successful changes, run diagnostics and report a product issue.
