The office computer died or the shared database needs restoring

A shared-office restore needs coordinated recovery. A data backup alone does not restore every device identity, queue or certificate.

Steps

  1. Stop new office changes and preserve each surviving laptop’s local work and pending count. Keep available backups without overwriting them.
  2. Collect the latest valid office backup and note all paired devices. The normal shared-network restore is blocked to avoid silently replacing the team’s live state.
  3. Ask product support and your administrator to plan recovery, verify records and reconcile unsynced work before reconnecting devices.
  4. Do not choose one laptop at random as the new host, replace SQLite files while running, or delete device connection files.

Check that it worked

A controlled recovery plan accounts for office records, device identities and every pending laptop change before sync resumes.

If these steps do not match your screen, check Company & settings for your version and whether you are using Demo, a field laptop or the office workspace. Search the displayed error or save a support report.
