What can field laptops and office workstations change?

Field and office devices have different permitted actions; they are not separate confidential views of the company.

Steps

  1. A field laptop can create customers and bids, issue customer PDFs and record its own Draft time while away from the office.
  2. The office approves time, accepts bids, manages jobs and records invoices, expenses and payments. An office workstation needs a live office connection for financial changes.
  3. If an action is blocked, check the role in Office & devices. Do not try to bypass a field restriction by editing database files.
  4. All paired devices retain company financial data, including employee rates. Only pair trusted company computers; roles do not hide those records.

Check that it worked

The action is done by the correct role and the office sees it after successful sync.
