The price increases after a discount or minimum-profit entry

An enabled minimum-profit floor can increase the final price to preserve the entered profit amount.

Steps

  1. Check the Minimum profit after overhead field. Zero disables this floor.
  2. The discount is capped at the estimate subtotal. A larger discount does not make the selling price negative.
  3. With a positive minimum profit, the program compares the discounted price with direct cost plus overhead plus the minimum profit.
  4. If the minimum-profit amount requires a higher price, the preview and customer estimate show a separate adjustment.
  5. Set the intended values and review the complete customer PDF before sending it.

Check that it worked

The displayed adjustment explains the difference between the discounted subtotal and the final price before tax.

Still stuck?

If an adjustment appears with minimum profit set to zero, report the quote inputs to product support.
