Steps
- Open ClearDesk IQ on BOTH computers. Use the same updated version. Do not leave one computer at the Windows sign-in screen.
- On the office computer, open Office & devices and select Check connection. Start or retry office sharing if necessary.
- On the other laptop, check that it says Standalone. If it says Office host, follow the missing Join guide.
- Connect both to the normal office network. Guest Wi-Fi often prevents computers from seeing each other. Select Refresh nearby on both computers and allow about 10 seconds.
- If still empty, select Set up office network on both computers. On a trusted office network, follow the Windows network-profile guide if the connection is Public.
- If your router or VPN blocks automatic discovery, use Create device invitation on the host, then I already have a connection code on the laptop. An administrator may need to supply the reachable office address.
Check that it worked
The host appears under Nearby offices; standalone laptops appear under Nearby computers ready to join.
Still stuck?
If a code also fails, use the Primary office is not listening guide. If a code works but Nearby is empty, sharing works and discovery is being blocked; you can keep using that paired connection.
